"Prior to the official press release and release date (December 30, 2008), Rapbasement.com The Mixtape Assassin bring you the latest drop from SickNotes and DogHead Entertainment's artist, Dogmatic. Dogmatic, an underground Detroit icon, chose this "mixtape" project as a vehicle to prelude the highly anticipated 2009 release of another Promatic project. As some of you may or may not know, Promatic was a duo-rap group comprised of the late-MC, Proof, and Dogmatic. Their first self-titled CD was released in 2002. Before Proof's untimely death in 2006, more material was recorded, some of which you will catch on both The FaceOff and on 2009's Promatic 2 release.Two of the attached tracks are featured on The FaceOff, track #1, which is the intro to the mixtape feat Phive Starr Productions, and track #3 "End of Days", featuring R&B singer Robert Curry of Day 26, every track on the face off mixtape will have a feature as u can see from covers above
